Purpose of the ESG Report

In recent years, Delta Elektronik A/S has placed an increased focus on green transition and strategic upskilling of our employees. This initiative reflects our commitment to developing and enhancing our competencies in line with evolving customer needs, particularly concerning sustainable projects and services. We recognize the importance of actively contributing to climate protection and sustainability through our daily operations.

About Delta Elektronik A/S

We are a trading company representing suppliers of automation and component technology, primarily from Europe. Our core areas include linear, servo, and robotics technology.

Our business focus is on delivering automation components and complete servo and linear system solutions, including proprietary application software, associated servo components, and mechanics. We prioritize the sale and marketing of products that reduce CO2 emissions in the automation sector and actively work to help our customers achieve a green transition in their production processes.

We are a small company with 10 employees based in rented premises at Husby Allé 17, 2630 Taastrup. Here, the landlord, DEAS A/S, provides water, heating, and waste management. We plan to initiate discussions with the landlord during our contract renegotiation to ensure further sustainable initiatives and improvements.

Our Aarhus branch is located in a office hotel at Marselisborg Boulevard 169, P08, 8000 Aarhus. We have rented office and demo-/meeting rooms totaling 35 m². The landlord, DEAS A/S, supplies water, heating, and electricity without specific consumption accounting.

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure

One of the central values in our business model is to add a high degree of value to the products we sell. As the industry represents our largest customer group, we often work closely with our clients to address their challenges and develop innovative solutions. This ensures that we consistently create value and strengthen our position as a reliable partner.

Responsible Consumption and Production

We are dedicated to engaging in dialogue with our customers about how we can support their green transition. With tools for CO2 calculations, we can highlight reductions in CO2 emissions and help lower operational costs and maintenance needs. These efforts promote more responsible and sustainable production for our customers.

ESG: Climate and Environment
Climate Change – ESRS E1

Delta Elektronik A/S is a trading company with energy consumption related to the use of gasoline and electric vehicles, primarily for customer visits, business-related travel, and commuting to and from the workplace.

A significant number of customer and supplier meetings are conducted via Teams or similar digital platforms, reducing the need for in-person visits and contributing to lower CO2 emissions.

Recyclable Packaging

We primarily use recyclable wooden pallets, wooden crates, and cardboard boxes for packaging products for shipment. Similarly, we receive products from our suppliers packaged in the same types of recyclable materials. Plastic packaging is neither used in our shipments nor by our suppliers.

CO2 Emission Calculations

Environmental data is based on information from our electricity supplier and landlord regarding energy, heating, and water consumption. These data are converted into CO2 emissions using emission factors from the Danish Climate Compass tool.

Employee Business Travel

Our engineers and sales staff, who travel for business purposes, are offered the option to switch to electric vehicles. Our goal is to gradually reduce the company’s carbon footprint by systematically replacing company cars with models that have lower CO2 emissions.

Scope 1: Direct Sources of CO2 Emissions
We have no CO2 emissions related to energy production, process gases, or refrigerants.

CO2 emissions primarily result from business-related travel to customers and other necessary transportation needs.

Details on Scope 1 CO2 emissions are provided below.

Scope 2: Indirect Sources of CO2 Emissions
Electricity, heating, and water consumption include:

General internal needs such as offices, conference rooms, exhibition areas, electronics workshops, packing facilities, storage, restrooms, kitchens, and cafeterias.

These resources are supplied by our landlord, DEAS A/S.

Aarhus Branch

The Aarhus branch consists of an office, demo room, restroom, and a small kitchen, with a total area of 35 m². Consumption of water, heating, and electricity is included in the rent for DEAS A/S Office Hotel, and no specific usage breakdown is provided, as it is part of the shared office arrangement. Consumption is estimated to be very low, as the premises are not used daily. The estimated calculation is included in the Scope 2 accounting.

Details on Scope 2 CO2 emissions are provided below.

Scope 3: Indirect Sources of CO2 Emissions
The majority of a company’s total carbon footprint typically falls under Scope 3, encompassing areas where Delta Elektronik A/S has limited and often indirect influence.

Delta Elektronik's Products

Supplier data on CO2 emissions from the production of the products we market and deliver can be provided upon customer request. A significant portion of our product portfolio is designed to reduce CO2 emissions in the automation sector. This enables us to offer documentation and insights that support our customers’ green transition in production.

Delta Elektronik aims to integrate relevant goals from the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our ESG report. We have selected goals that reflect our core values and relate to the products and services we offer.

In 2024, we initiated dialogue with our key suppliers to prepare for meeting Scope 3 CO2 emission requirements by 2025. This ensures we can support customers needing to comply with the ten ESG standards.

International Business Travel

Since 2020, we have limited international business travel by conducting Teams meetings and webinars. International travel now typically occurs only once annually. The CO2 emissions from these trips are calculated and included in the Scope 3 accounting.

Transport of Goods to and from the Taastrup Warehouse

Delta Elektronik A/S uses multiple freight companies for goods transport. We receive deliveries from suppliers three times daily, and a freight company collects shipments for delivery to our customers daily. The average daily distance for customer deliveries is 258 km.
